Having An Attitude of Gratitude

Nov 12, 2023    Dr. Phil Willingham

In Luke 17:11-19, the contrast between the lepers' initial request and the subsequent responses to healing reveals profound insights into the human heart. The lepers, desperate and diseased, cried out for mercy. Yet, as they received healing, the majority remained silent in their gratitude. Jesus, astonished, questioned the absence of the nine, highlighting the prevalence of ingratitude. The Samaritan, however, stood out—a lone emblem of thankfulness. This story prompts reflection on our own responses to divine interventions. It urges us to explore the reasons behind ingratitude and the transformative power of a genuinely grateful heart.
